Jodi Phillis (Sunshine Ray) is a singer/songwriter, composer and arranger in a class of her own. Jodi is well-known as co-frontwoman of the 90s alternative pop/rock group The Clouds, alongside Trish Young. She has gone on to release Aria-nominated solo albums, compose music for screen and play in such iconic indy bands as The Dearhunters and Roger Loves Betty. Most recently, she created the delicious four-part vocal group, The Glamma Rays. The sound is evocative of times gone by, yet truly original, and displays Jodi’s unmistakable style of great songwriting and magical arranging. Genevieve Davis (Pleasure Ray) is a world class performer who for the past fifteen years has been thrilling audiences with her extraordinary voice and powerful performances. Throughout the nineties Genevieve performed frequently for television shows and nationally televised sporting events. Gen has held major roles in numerous stage productions and movies including Superman Returns and Rent. Gen also writes songs for the Rays, and is currently recording her debut solo album.
Malika Elizabeth (Love Ray) is a second generation songwriter. Her great aunt was Jessie Mae Robinson, the first African American woman to be signed to ASCAP, who wrote dozens of hit songs covered by the likes of Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Nina Simone and Elvis Presley. Malika played bass guitar in bands such as Roger Loves Betty, Jessemae and The One-Eyed Jacks. Mal’s voice is rich and deep, and her soulful songs are a perfect complement to Jodi’s intricate pop ballads.
Tiffany Sinton (Sugar Ray) has the voice of an angel and a passion for jazz sounds and eclectic songwriting. She fronted a world music band Djoliba while living in Budapest for eight years, recording two albums and performing frequently for television and international festivals and events. Tiffany lived and worked abroad for twelve years absorbing influences from many cultures, as well as teaching and studying various musical forms. Back in Oz, Tiffany teaches music and primary school, loves songwriting and recording, and also enjoys styling The Rays. She is currently working on a solo album.

to the group. Having heritage from all around the globe as well as being mothers and
great friends, The Glamma Rays glow with a loving energy that is hard to resist.
Comparisons have been made to The Andrews Sisters, early Carole King,
The Beach Boys, Burt Bacharach and girl groups of the 50’s and 60’s.
It is early days for The Glamma Rays. Their shows have had an
overwhelmingly positive audience response, inspiring the four women to take
their songs on the road. With their gorgeous retro look, sassy personalities, timeless
original tunes and mesmerizing harmonies, there is not a heart in any audience that
these women cannot melt.
